Lemons, Limes and Grapefruit?!

When life gives you lemons....

make cute cards!!! what else!

I just received this beautiful stamp set called Lemon Zest and the coordinating Lemon punch. This bundle purchased together saves you 10% and it just came back in stock because it was sold out super fast.

So here is my first card that I cased from Brandy's Cards. She did a great technique that I had not considered to do before. She actually inked the embossing folder (one side) to add a color element to the raised embossed Lemon Lime Twist paper.  Thanks Brandy.

So this card is using Whisper White card stock as my base and a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cut at 2.75"x 5.5".  I also used some scraps of whisper white to stamp and cut out the lemons and the leaves.  I also love the brand new double sided ribbon. I used the side with the "x" and the other side has dashes .

This is my second design using this stamp set. I really wanted the colors to pop and what better way than by using black to make it happen.  So we are using the same stamp but using Lemon Lime Twist ink stamped onto Lemon Lime Twist Paper. Then I used the stamp of the inside of the lemon onto white card stock to make the wedges.  I also used old olive Stampin' write markers to make one of the leaves because I wanted to have some green contrast.

I think the font for this sentiment is so cute!  LOVE It!

The measurements for this card are below:

Whisper White 8.5"x 5.5" scored 4.25"

Basic Black cut 5.25"x 4" and Daffodil Delight cut at 2" x 2.75"

The last card I made with this same set I used Tangerine Tango ink with Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves. This card I also used a technique of stamping the stamp twice to get a lighter image.

So I started with a basic card of whisper white (cut at 8.5" x 5.5" score 4.25").

I would ink my lemon slice into the Tangerine Tango to produce an orange or a grapefruit. I would stamp once for a dark full image, then I'd stamp a second time to get a lighter image. I did that until I filled up my card stock. I did the same thing with the leaf.  Then I took a piece of whisper white card stock and stamped the orange slice again and used my 2" circle punch to cut it out. I could have also used my Layering Circle die cuts, but this worked fine.

I also had a piece of Lemon Lime Twist to tie in the leaves and I cut that out using our Square Stitched Framelits ( the largest square). Stamped my sentiment and used dimensionals to adhere my slice. I also added a jewel in the center for some sparkle.

Below are all the items that I used to make these 3 cards. I hope you loved the colors as much as I did.
